Hi Alan,
This should be no problem - just a case of cutting into the pipes that take
the heating water to the tub and sending part of it to the garage. You don't
say if the heater is heating the actual water that fills the tub or if its
an indirect system where the heater water is separate from the tub water but
either case is possible. The only thing is that, if your heater heats the
tub water directly, you will need to use radiators and fittings which won't
add any impurities into the water - copper radiators and brass fittings. If
its an indirect system, ordinary steel panel rads will be OK. In either case
I would use poly pipe for connections as its easier to work with. I also
like using 'microbore' systems - 8 or 10 mm pipe where the run lengths will
permit as this gets over all the problems of airlocking and the pipe is
easier to hide and work with, however, whether you could use this or not
would depend on the way your present system is set up, pumping capabilities
etc. - best to talk to a local plumber to check on codes etc. HTH,
Ian
