Bill,

Are you conventional or climb milling? Conventional milling can bring
chips back around to the base material and redeposit it. If you are
conventional milling, try climb. Also, even though wax is soft, you
still need very sharp tools to get the best finish. As in plastics, too
high a spindle speed will also cause melting and could be a source of
your problems.
I suspect some combination of the above will reduce or eliminate your
problems.
