Bill: If there IS a practical answer to this detail, I suspect one/both of
the men named below might help you, as they are in this same bidniss. They
gave a lecture/slide-show at the January meeting of the [Houston area-}Home
Metal Shop Club ("HMSC"), and showed/told about various dam-making and
casting methods, and they MIGHT have discussed different kinds of wax for
different purposes, but, not being into that myself, I didn't memorize the
entire lecture, word-for-word.

They are Frank Goss of the Houston [Texas] Metal Arts Guild, and Val Link of
the University of Houston. Sorry, I do NOT have the numbers, but the
telephone can probably rectify that, upon proper sequential operation of the
1, 2 5, and 4 keys.
