Yes, if you are sandwiching two pieces together, with some air channels
grooved-in between them, it should be fine. I've seen some people
who didn't consider the forecs at work talking about suspending a
perforated sheet over a completely open box made of 2 x 4's. That
WON'T work, in a big way!
