A DOS emulator is available from inside Win 2K. It is NOT real DOS, but
a functional emulator that uses the X86's built in virtual machine
emulator hardware support to allow the DOS program to exist in
a virtual PC X86 real-mode environment, inside the Windows
virtual memory environment. Most DOS programs, even those
that grab physical hardware devices like DMA controllers, parallel
port registers, etc. will work. In Win2K there is a command line mode,
it should be available in the immense list of things under the start
button. I make an extra shortcut to it and put it on the desktop, just
like Win95.
