Oh, I would not run a CNC motion control program this way! It would
suffer greatly! I'm still trying to get the software from DirectIO to
control the parallel port under Win2K for non-printer devices, but
I have no hope whatsoever of doing CNC control through it.

I was intending to suggest that CAD/CAM programs should run
fine this way, for the most part. There may be some problems for
programs that reprogram the video modes, etc. but mostly, they should
work.
