Linux cnc OTHER than EMC was Re: Whither goest DOS?

Thank you for the linux CAD links. A few of the sites were down, or
unavailable. I'll try again later, as they seemed to be the more
promising <G>

It is important to point out that the google search you mentioned
returns thousands of hits because it includes hits on "stepper motor"
and "motor control".

When refined to a search of: "linux stepper motor" control

The return was only 35, of which only 10 were deemed by google (and
verified by me) to be independent "hits".

So I ask again, "Other than EMC, is there any multi-axis stepper
control suitable for cnc,EDM, or DRO that runs on linux?"

P.S. The fact that I CAN alter some linux based programs (those
released open source) only means something if I have the programming
ability, or money to pay for such changes... Either or both of which
is in short supply for many on this list.
