For lower voltage drives using devices such as L298's you can also
use the LM317T voltage reg. Many maunf of these and cheaper than the
TI part. You will still need some heatsinking though.
For a bigger drive, why not just buy a G201 ?? All the work has been
done for you..... "wheels and re-inventing" spring to mind ;-))
