Hi Andrew,

a Cyclone dust collector, is a 30 gal trash can with a 3" duct in the
center, and a sweep elbo that makes the debis swirl around.
basically a shop vac cannister in a little larger scale.

scrubber, well, a 5 gal plastic bucket that goes in front of the shop
vac. This will pick up hot fireplace ashes and drywall dust.

and the HEPA filter, pretty much on every home vacuume cleaner these
days.

Did I mention a fume hood ? a real live fume hood, 24" wide for
soldering and keeping the fumes out. explosion proof light fixture
and all.

Outside of the $30.00 for the metal trash can and about $35 for a
HEPA, the total was a LOT less than you would pay for one linear
bearing.

and if I had the wet scrubber before I dumped ashes on the leaves
next to the fence, I would have saved the cost of replacing that part
of the fence.

I was thinking of putting in a water pump in the scrubber to make it
work more like the big boys. lemme see, some lawn sprinkler heads, a
section of PVC pipe, and a water pump... less than $100.00.

and if you want to sleep un-easy tonight, there is a considderable
ammount of data that points to aluminum being one of the major
contributing causes of Alsheimers. .... but I forget where I heard
that...

Seems aluminum is the ONLY common metal NOT common in nature. your
body uses iron, boron, zinc, copper.. you name it. but not aluminum.

Dave
