I was using "Glyptal" somewhat as a generic term, here, as "stuff to hold
things from slipping, and keep the screws from coming unscrewed".

I've never found cyanoacrylate (super glue) to be very permanent at all.
Generally, a little persuasion with a screwdriver blade or Xacto knife will
pull anything apart. And, that's if it was clamped by a screw. The
only thing
superglue will hold with any reliability all by itself is patch wires on
a circuit
board.
