I just looked it up and I paid $48.00 for a 48" ballscrew and it
was $23.00 for each ballnut. They were a bit higher than Saginaw
Thomson and they matched their price.
I bought from Nook because they had a left hand ball screw. I
thought at the time I wanted to be able to use the mill as a manual
mill and your Y axis on a manual mill needs to be left hand if you
want it to work like any hand cranked milling machine made.
I found out after a few minutes of running it as a CNC I had no
desire to use it with hand wheels.
So I would say buy all right hand ballscrews and nuts. Then you
would need the 6 foot section I think. That was not that much more.
