Just lowered my table, from the temporary stand used to align it, and
setup rails for chip shields, to where it belongs.
About 3 m left, and 90 degrees, and 50 cm lower.
Took 4 hours with a jack.

Table is 1600 mm wide, solid tool steel, slat built, 60 mm thick, 500 mm
deep, about 300 kg (table only).
Max work area 1600 x 1600 mm.
Bridge design. Bridge is 2000 mm wide, 1600 mm tall. Multiple preloads,
static and dynamic.
All F1 tool steel (basis spanish tool steel).
100% built by me.

Max error is linearity is 0.03 mm, over 780 mm long linear rails.
Typical is about 0.015 mm.

Hope to position it precisely, and align it, this week, and then adjust
it straight and bolt it in.

I have a good work area ;)

Spindle is M-head Bp, circa 1950, with original Bp 3-phase motor, driven
by VFD.
Almost soundless in operation, about the same noise as a new lathe with
no cutting going on.
Runs really nice, and given the MT2 collets I limit it to around 1 Hp
real power.

I have full control fwd/reverse from mach3.

Mill has been "working" for a long time, but I need to finish chips
shields before I really start to produce stuff.
Plan to put in coolant at some point, but that is not urgent (I use
inserts).

When the chip shields are done, and I have changed the quil to a worm
gear, I can do pics.
Bridge height is adjustable, manually, so I can fit tall workpieces at need.
CNC drives quill, for now with belts, but I am going to a worm gear for
better accuracy and push.
