OK, you're right; let me be a little more precise. You can have a
total horsepower running of 2 - 3 times the one idler. In my setup, I
could go 15-20, but I'm on a 30A circuit, so that's unlikely. I did
say "as you have capacity for" without defining that, so I have an out :-)

The key is the other machines add to the idler capacity. For example,
when I had a 5hp idler, I couldn't start my lathe at top speed unless
I also had the mill running.
