Hi Donald
I have been using CNCpro for about 5 months on a sherline milling
machine. I also played around with DeskNC and tried the CNCpro demo
version. Its a REAL pain to setup the demo to even see if CNCpro is
worth the money but once I figured it out, the motors "came to
life"...MUCH smoother and 3 times the speed. I find the
documentation and instructions for CNCpro very non-helpful..pretty
much there are none. For me, a beginner at CNC, instuctions would of
been great..thankfully I have this group. Overall, I am very
satisfied with CNCpro and it also runs very well for me. I have not
tried any 3D or lathe work with it so I cannot comment there. I have
found recently that the input/output channels are ON when the
computer boots up even if the CNCpro screen says its off. For now, I
cycle the channel (this is connected to my spindle) to turn it off,
before turing on the machine. Personally, I am pleased.
