I looked at EMC and at DeskNCRT after they had been mentioned earlier, they
are both nice but, the problem with both is that they are limited with regard
to the codes they support. That is to say they have no parametric or
variable support nor do they have subroutine support. It would appear that
both were made pretty much just one shot machining and not really designed
for versatility which is great for a lot of applications, unfortunately just
not mine. CncPRO still appears to be by far the best bang for the buck for
my application. Of course if I could find a software package that would
allow me to operate servo drives via an inexpensive motion control board and
it had all of the features of CncPRO I would be in paradise :-).
