If anyone is looking for a drive with similar performance, but more
protection than the Geckos they may want to look at the close-out API
CMD-260 stepper drives I am selling. They have thermal protection, motor
short circuit protection, and over voltage protection. Not sure how they
would handle a motor disconnect though. They are also 1/4 - 8 amp switch
settable and can go from full step to 254 microstep. Full details at
