I thought the "reaming" joke would go good with a machinist crowd.

I'm never afraid of breaking a few windows; after all it got me fired from
my last job! :)

The words "Closed Loop" and "Precision and Accuracy" (even Hysteresis and
Backlash) and are so full of etymological and semantic differences, that
they can only be discussed in person, not in chat. But don't think you're
safe in person; I've seen fights break over less. :)

Boy, bet you never do that again...!!!

There is nothing more humbling than differing from a prevailing
worldview. The next thing will be someone might say they oppose the
war, yikes!! Alternatively, they're not a Republican, or something
equally un-American.

Taking a whack at a sacred cow.this could go on for years!

How about if I say, "I don't think anyone out there knows what `closed
loop' means".or, "Do you understand the difference between precision &
accuracy?"

Let's see what sort of insults this will engender.it's like taking
candy from a baby.

Will it be enough to keep us entertained for a few more weeks?
