The continuation of a thread is dependent upon the interest of the list
members. There is no one that is dictating what is discussed and what get
replied to as long as it is somewhat relevant. If a product seems to get a
lot of endorsement on this list it is because the poster feels it is a good
product. If the same products keep turning up that would likely indicate
that the item is well received and the list members feel others would find
it useful also.

Point is, if you don't like what is being discussed or you think another
solution would be better than say so. If people agree than you know your
suggestion is being well received. If people disagree or the thread dies
than figure you need to consider that the suggestion is not popular.
