Hi Tim,
I also run CNCPro. I got a shock when the price jumped
up again! Two hundred dollars to run motors in DOS. Also KellyCam is
no longer FREE! I hear KellyCam is $150. From FREE to $150 seems
a bit steep. I used to cut lawns up until this year. Lawn cutters
in my area have not gotten a raise in years. There is always someone
willing to cut for less. I am hoping this will happen with CNC
controller software. Glad to see the programmers are still getting
big raises.
Having a program that runs in Windows would be nice. But if
you need an external circuit that is proprietary they can keep it. If
the price is under $150 including a diagram for the box I would
consider changing. Windows has alot of nice features but I have
not been luckly running hardware with it.
