Re: Moog: Where are all the air valves?

I was nosing around in the control cabinet today and after seeing
the bank of relays this thing used I expected to see just about as
many air logic devices and interfaces between air and electric.
Imagine my surprise to find only a few air solenoids in there!
That's weird.
On another note, the head didn't come equipped with a worm and
pinion for sideways tilt, just a eccentric pin for centering and not
a very good mechanism at that. I've been cheerfully cutting down a
worm and pinion out of one of the gear reducers that came on my
servos to see if I can fit that to the head and I believe I can make
it work even though it's a bit big.
Other good news, we sold the old house so now I have funding to
build my workshop. It'll be a 40'x 60' metal building with 14'
rafters. I hope to have it done by fall and have the Moog inside.
