I would say for good prints you need at least 20mm/sec. I saw Danny's
claim that the Ultimaker gets better print quality because of the
speed, but I do not believe it is accurate. In my experience, print
quality goes up to a point, then starts to drop again as you go
faster. Some of that is certainly do to the slightly lower rigidity of
my current printer (my new one will fix that), but some of it seems to
be how quickly the plastic will stick to the lower layer, and there
seems to be an upper limit there. You can print faster, but as you go
up your print quality degrades.
