When I was working at DEC, I saw a program called JobSecurity which made
source code for customers who required it but had no clue about what
they wanted. It replaced every variable with one based on only the
characters 0, 1, O, I and l, that is ZERO, ONE, CAPITAL OH, CAPITAL EYE
and LOWERCASE ELL. After stripping out ALL comments, the source code
went to the customer who put it in a vault, never to see the light of
day again.

It did compile error free, but it was a bear to read. Using TECO macros
to replace specific strings with others was not unusual after the first
look occurred, so something like "O0Il10OlI" would become "Variable_10",
which could then be replaced with better names. Seeing the difference
between "O0Il10OlI" and "O01lI0OlI" could try the patience of a Saint!

P.S. to really see what is different, use a different font, like Times
New Roman. The string "O0Il10OlI" suddenly becomes "O0Il10OlI" which is
easier to read, but not easy!
